During this week at Walden U, we have to post at least 3 resources of our choosing that are related to young children/families, or the field of early childhood. Our resources can be in the forms of book titles, people in the EC field that ineterest us, web links, web links to news articles, quotes, etcetera etcetera. Well courtesy of one of my classmates from last week I am now a fan of the site LOVE AND LOGIC. In fact this is my first resource pick. This site is designed to help parents enjoy their kids more while stressing over them less. the website is http://www.loveandlogic.com/
My second resource pick is the children's book OVER IN THE MEADOW. The version I like best is one illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats. The original version is by Olive Wadsworth. I love this book so much. I've read it countless times to all and any little child around me. it's a counting, rhyming book and it's just a good soothing read. I especially liked reading it for nap time when I teached in NY, it was a sure "putter to sleeper", LOL. You can order a copy of the book on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Over-Meadow-Picture-Books-Keats/dp/0140565086
My third resource pick is http://www.earlychildhood.com/ . I chose this one because its a cute little site for information, parents and teachers.
My Fourth pick is my most favorite site. It's the one I shop at the most. It's full of supplies for children. I like it most for it's arts and crafts its http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/home/home.jsp
The following are a list of all of the educational resources that were made available to me during this week at Walden University, courtesy of Dr. Longo. I hope that they are as informative to you, as they are to me!
